Summary
Lyran system is a small agricultural world working at the subsistence level. It is independent in theory, but rife with criminal activity using the locals as a legitimate cover. Lyran IV is the habitable world. It's population is too low to effectively oust the pirates and criminal syndicates that abuse the colony, and the colonial administration are mostly on the payroll of the Pyke Syndicate and the Zann Consortium. Lyran's one major advantage is that it lies along the Triellust trade route. Despite being in an Imperial sector, the Moff of the sector pays little attention as long as the subsidies roll in.
